Yi Chen
Senior Program Officer
Yi Chen is the Senior Program Officer for climate projects at the Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), based in New York. She coordinates and assists with projects to support the development and implementation of ambitious and effective climate policies in China and across Asia, including GHG emissions trading systems (ETS) and net-zero GHG emission goals. Prior to joining ASPI, Yi was a carbon market analyst at Independent Commodity Intelligence Services (ICIS) in Beijing, where she contributed to market analysis, price forecasts, and tailored carbon asset management solutions for China’s ETS participants. In addition, at the UK-China (Guangdong) Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) Centre, she assisted in the delivery of carbon utilization and storage projects in China.
Yi holds a Master’s degree in Carbon Finance from the University of Edinburgh Business School, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from China.
