Robert Snedden
Program Officer
Robert Snedden is the Program Officer for trade and operations at the Asia Society Policy Institute, based in Washington, D.C. At ASPI, Robert supports ASPI’s Vice President Wendy Cutler, assists with ASPI trade initiatives and projects, and coordinates public and private events.
Before joining ASPI, Robert was an associate at McLarty Associates, where he supported multinational companies with market access and regulatory issues in Southeast Asia, China, and the EU. Prior to joining McLarty, Robert interned at the Office of Economic Policy in the US Department of State’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, the US House of Representatives, and Samsung Electronics America.
Robert holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University, where he focused on Asia studies and international economics. While at GW, Robert served as an inaugural Fellow of the Taiwan Education and Research Program at the Sigur Center for Asian Studies and received a grant for his research on Taiwanese supply chain diversification and foreign investment policy. He is originally from Mountain View, California, and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
