Urgewald employs a "follow the money" approach to expose and campaign against financiers of projects that lead to environmental destruction and human rights violations. 

 

It focuses on human rights- and environmentally-friendly banking; China's new development model; international finance institutions (IFIs) and their developmental financing; and divestment from fossil fuels.
