Asia Society Policy Institute

IR protects rivers and defends the rights of communities that depend on them. It seeks to create a world in which water and energy needs are met without degrading nature or increasing poverty, and in which people retain the right to participate in decisions that affect their lives. 

IR focuses on human rights, the elevation of grassroots power, freshwater ecosystems and biodiversity, corporate accountability, and climate justice.
