IDI shares resources and strategies with local communities and grassroots organizations that are defending land, natural resources, and human rights from threats posed by trade, development, and investment projects. Its Following the Money initiative aims to uncover and expose corporate misconduct, while its China Global Program offers tools and insights to influence Chinese investors and policy banks, as well as Chinese-led development finance institutions (DFIs).
