Accountability Counsel
The Accountability Counsel seeks to protect community members’ human rights and the environment. It employs community-driven and policy-level strategies to advance justice for people harmed by internationally-financed projects.
It focuses on human rights; responsible investment; Chinese overseas finance; climate finance; impact investing; environmental harm; rights of women, children, and marginalized groups; Indigenous and traditional peoples' rights; transparency, accountability, and civic participation; community-led development; labor rights; and peace building and conflict resolution.
