Department of Environmental Impact Assessment and Emission Management, Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE)
The Department of Environmental Impact Assessment and Emission Management formulates and implements policies, plans, laws, and regulations; maintains departmental rules, standards, and specifications for environmental impact assessments (EIAs) within China; and issues pollution emission permits for construction projects. It also provides guidance on developing environmental impact statements (EISs) and reviews statements for construction projects (except nuclear, radiation, coastal, and offshore projects).
