Landon Thomas

Landon Thomas is an Affiliated Researcher at the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis. His research examines China’s domestic industrial policy and its global trade implications, with a focus on the restructuring of China’s primary aluminum industry. Previously, he interned at Ascendent Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Shanghai, where he analyzed the impact of U.S.-China trade policies on Chinese manufacturers and researched mergers and acquisitions opportunities. He also gained experience at the Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations, supporting research and editorial projects. Landon holds a BA in East Asian Studies from New York University (NYU), where he spent a year studying at NYU Shanghai.
