Jun WANG
Honorary Senior Fellow, Chinese Economy, Center for China Analysis
Wang Jun is an Honorary Senior Fellow on Chinese Economy at the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) and a Postdoctoral Degree in Economics. He is the Chief Economist at Huatai Assets Management Co. Ltd, which is a member company of American Chubb Group of Insurance.
Wang is also the Director of China Chief Economist Forum, a consultant expert for the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the National Bureau of Statistic, and the National Development Bank. He is a part-time Professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), a researcher at Zhejiang Qiushi Research Institute, and a columnist for a number of prominent financial news outlets, and the winner of 2013 Top Ten Beijing News “Chinese Youth Economist” Award. His main areas of expertise are macroeconomic theory, macro-control policies, financial markets, international trade, and international investment.
Wang was previously a researcher at the Central Policy Research Office and Director of the Information Department, at China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE), a member of CCIEE Academic Committee, and the Chief Economist of ZhongYuan Bank.
