China 2025: What to Watch
VIEW EVENT DETAILSGeopolitical uncertainty, trade wars, sluggish economic growth, internal governance challenges, signs of social discontent: will 2025 be China’s year of living dangerously? What the leadership does in the next 12 months will shape the country’s trajectory for decades to come. In China 2025: What to Watch, the second in a series of reports prepared annually by the Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis, experts analyze China’s prospects in the coming year and highlight the most important developments to keep an eye on.
To launch the report, the Center for China Analysis has invited prominent experts to join the authors onstage at an invitation-only full-evening event on Tuesday, December 10, from 5-8 p.m. at the Asia Society in New York.
The program will feature introductory remarks by Dr. Kyung-wha Kang, President and CEO of the Asia Society, panel discussions covering Chinese domestic politics, economy, and foreign policy, spotlight presentations, and keynote speech by the Hon. Dr. Kevin Rudd, former Prime Minister of Australia and CCA Founding Chair.
The keynote speech by Dr. Kevin Rudd is off the record.
