Craig Allen Joins Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis

Wednesday, April 16, 2025 – The Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis (CCA) is pleased to welcome Ambassador Craig Allen as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow.
Amb. Allen is currently a senior counselor at the Cohen Group. He previously served as president of the U.S.-China Business Council and had a distinguished career in U.S. public service, primarily within the Department of Commerce. There, he held key roles, including deputy assistant secretary for Asia at the International Trade Administration and deputy assistant secretary for China. His overseas assignments have included serving as senior commercial officer at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, senior commercial officer in South Africa, and deputy senior commercial officer at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo. Earlier in his career, he contributed to multiple APEC summits during his time at the National Center for APEC and held commercial attaché positions in Beijing, Tokyo, and Taipei, where he led the American Trade Center.
