Can Trump and Xi Find Common Ground at Mar-a-Lago?

Ahead of the summit meeting between President Donald Trump and President Xi Jinping, Asia Society Policy Institute President Kevin Rudd appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box to discuss U.S.-China relations and the North Korean nuclear program.
Rudd argued that, at Mar-a-Lago, the two leaders will want to get off on the right foot before they get on to the nuts and bolts of policy. (2 min., 12 sec.)
The two countries are expected to try to find common ground on the difficult question of the North Korean nuclear program. "There is no positive view of Kim Jong-un anywhere in Beijing," Rudd said. However, "the real hard bit is what do you do, given current failed diplomacy towards North Korea, to move to a new diplomacy which applies real leverage to Pyongyang. (1 min., 56 sec.)
