Arun Teja Polcumpally
JSW Science and Technology Fellow, ASPI Delhi

Arun Teja Polcumpally is the JSW Science and Technology Fellow at ASPI Delhi, a division of Asia Society India Center. He focuses on the intersection of science, emerging technologies, data, geopolitics, and global governance. He has a PhD in International Affairs with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) surveillance from O.P. Jindal Global University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from GITAM University and a master’s degree in International Relations from CHRIST University. He has certificates in machine learning and deep learning from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bengaluru (IIIT - B), and in cybersecurity from Google. Arun has published an edited volume titled ‘Emerging Technologies and India’s Security Sector’, as well as book chapters, journal articles, and op-eds for national and international publications and platforms such as AI & Society, Heliyon, The Hindu, and Hindustan Times. Before joining ASPI, he worked with think tanks such as the Wadhwani Center for Digital Transformation, the Center of Excellence for AI in Human Security, the Center for Security Studies, and the Center for Development Policy and Practice, and private firms such as Pacta.
