Anthony Saich Joins Asia Society Policy Institute's Center for China Analysis

Monday, March 3, 2025 – The Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis (CCA) is pleased to announce that Anthony Saich has been named a Non-Resident Honorary Senior Fellow on Chinese Politics and Society.
Dr. Saich currently serves as the Director of the Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia and as the Daewoo Professor of International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School. With decades of deep engagement dating back to the 1970s, his insights, networks, and intellectual contributions have set the standard for China analysis worldwide.
Dr. Saich’s current research focuses on politics and governance in post-Mao China, urbanization and rural-urban inequality in China, and the interplay between state and society in Asia and the respective roles they play in the provision of public goods and services at the local level. His most recent books include, From Rebel to Ruler: One Hundred Years of the Chinese Communist Party (2021); Finding Allies and Making Revolution: The Early years of the Chinese Communist Party (2020); Governance and Politics of China (Fourth Edition, 2015); Chinese Village, Global Market (2012); Providing Public Goods in Transitional China (2008).
