Understanding Mindanao: Business in Mindanao
VIEW EVENT DETAILSOne of the major problems in Mindanao is the long-standing neglect from the national government and lack of economic development. The root cause of cultural, religious, and armed conflict still goes back to the problem of lack of jobs and economic development and this leads to a vicious cycle of poverty.
The second of the three forums, “Business in Mindanao” aims to explore the economic realities and opportunities in Mindanao.
The Understanding Mindanao Series is a three-part dialogue that aims to provide an environment for inquiry and learning about the region, and to educate the public by developing a common understanding about Mindanao and strengthening relationships with the tri-people community in Mindanao.
