International Day of Yoga
VIEW EVENT DETAILSUnited Nations recognized June 21 as the International Day of Yoga when it passed a resolution co-sponsored by 175 nations and supported by 177 Member States in December 2014. Yoga, a 5000 year tradition, is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. Yoga is much more than exercise. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being, a sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature.
The Philippines joined in the global celebration of the 1st International Day of Yoga last June 21, 2015. Around 500 people participated in the half-day wellness program.
