Chito Sta. Romana is a veteran journalist who lived and worked in China for more than three decades. He was the China producer for ABC News since 1989 and served as the Bureau Chief until 2010. He and his news team won an Emmy award in the News and Documentary category from the U.S. National Academy of Television and Arts and Sciences in 2000 and earned two other Emmy nominations in 2001 and 2006. After retiring from ABC, he resettled in Manila in December 2010.
He is an independent resource person on China and he frequently talks about China to interested groups like government agencies and NGOs, as well as media, academic and business organizations.
