May 19, 2022 — Asia Society Northern California hosted a panel discussion and cultural reception with San Francisco Consuls General from India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Australia. Speakers included Neil Frank R. Ferrer, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines in San Francisco; Prasetyo Hadi, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco; Ambassador T.V. Nagendra Prasad, Consul General of India in San Francisco; and Odette Hampton, Deputy Consul General and Trade and Investment Commissioner at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).

The Consuls General discussed new and innovative technologies being developed in their countries, the fostering of talent to support growing global demand, the upcoming G20 Summit in Bali, the speakers' outlooks on the innovation ecosystems in Asia in 2022 and beyond, and the advancements of start-ups and unicorns in Australia, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Priya Rajan, Market Lead for India and MENA at Silicon Valley Bank, moderated the discussion. 

The panel discussion was followed by a cultural reception with food and drink from the Philippines, food and cultural performance from India, and wine from Australia.

This program was sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank and took place at Medill School of Journalism in San Francisco.
