YPG Event - Level Up: Strengthening Communities Through Resilience
VIEW EVENT DETAILSYoung Professionals Group
In collaboration with World Affairs, join the Asia Society Northern California Young Professionals Group for a panel and breakout session program to learn from leaders in the nonprofit resilience space. Tickets are free for members using the promo code 'ASYP'.
The program will start with an introduction of the panelists, followed by a breakout session where the audience is encouraged to engage with the panelists. You will have the opportunity to have discussions on how these leaders are preparing communities most impacted by climate change.
As we see more frequent and devastating climate-related disasters, such as typhoons and wildfires, there’s an increased sense of urgency from a range of internal, national, local government, non-government, and private stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions. These approaches are needed to address the growing threats of climate change that nations and communities face. How are the government, private, and philanthropic sectors seeking to facilitate climate resilience and develop viable solutions that are used by frontline communities preparing for and responding to climate disaster risks
