Innovative Urban Solutions for Global Challenges
VIEW EVENT DETAILSPart of COAL + ICE
Part of COAL +ICE, a month-long festival organized by the Asia Society, Asia Society Northern California (ASNC) will host a half-day forum focusing on urban innovations in the Asia Pacific region, and more specifically, how these innovative urban solutions are able to meet global challenges such as climate change. This will be built upon the success of ten Pacific Cities Sustainability Initiative (PCSI) Forums that ASNC organized over the past decade in five different countries. Each Forum attracted hundreds of attendees and composed of local speakers with an international corps of experts from around the Pacific Rim and beyond – the leading thinkers and doers on urban sustainability.
This Forum will bring together political and business leaders, urban experts, artists and activists who are also attending the climate summit and the COAL + ICE festival to explore solutions for the most pressing issues facing city leaders and city dwellers alike, through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and one-on-one conversations.
This program will be held in Greens Restaurant, located in the Solutions Zone at the back of the Exhibition at the Festival Pavilion.
