Join Asia Society Northern California for this public event with Mr. S Iswaran, Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information. He will speak on how Singapore and the region is unlocking the potential of a Digital-as-Usual Age against the current realities of global and tech tensions and how industries and governments are partners in unleashing this potential for economies and societies. The minister will also share more about how Singapore's digital economy ecosystem fuels innovation and talent growth and the role Singapore plays in digital Asia.
This event will be moderated by Asia Society Northern California board member Dr. Michael Chui, who is a partner at the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), McKinsey’s business and economics research arm.

About Mr. S Iswaran
Mr. Iswaran joined the Singapore Administrative Service in 1987 where he served in the Ministries of Home Affairs and Education. He was seconded to the National Trade Union Congress, and later to the Singapore Indian Development Association as its first Chief Executive Officer. He then went on to join the private sector at Singapore Technologies Pte Ltd as Director of Strategic Development.
Mr. Iswaran is currently Singapore's Minister for Communications and Information, focusing on strengthening the InfoComm, Media, and Design sectors and accelerating digital transformation across the economy. He also oversees policies and strategies to build a digitally-ready community, a safe and secure cyberspace, as well as efforts to develop libraries of the future and enhance government communications.
