Asia Society Members are invited to a private reception with wine and tour at KADIST art gallery in San Francisco’s Mission District!

Marie Martraire, KADIST Director, will give us a behind-the-scenes look at the gallery’s newest exhibition, Here We Live. The show is co-curated with the Galaxy Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing, China and features artworks by Halil Altindere, Jeamin Cha, Angelica Mesiti, Jerome Reyes, Norman Therkelson, and Yu Guo. Broadly speaking, the presentation foregrounds the importance of recording and sharing local cultural traditions and personal stories in moments of collective urban transformation.  Welcoming and Opening remarks will be given by Asia Society Honorary Chairman Jack Wadsworth and KADIST President Vincent Worms.

KADIST is a non-profit contemporary art institution dedicated to exhibiting the work of artists represented in its collection. Complemented by an active online network, KADIST aims at creating vibrant conversations about contemporary art and ideas.
