Digital Revolution in China
VIEW EVENT DETAILSChina is in the throes of a new economic revolution after three decades of double-digit growth and social transformation. According to China’s Digital Transformation, a new report by the McKinsey Global Institute, the Internet is turning the market on its head, not just for the 632 million Chinese already on the web, but for producers as well. While significant problems and roadblocks must be addressed, increasing use of digital technology is on track to facilitate as much as 22% of China’s total GDP growth through 2025, according to the McKinsey report. Chinese companies are making the leap from outdated production models, creating new markets in finance and e-commerce, and entering new sectors to compete head to head with advanced industrial economies. Join ASNC and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for a panel of leading analysts and businesspeople for a discussion of China’s digital transformation.
