AAPI Executive Leadership: Reflecting on the Journey & Passing on the Legacy
VIEW EVENT DETAILSAAPI Heritage Month

Deb Liu is the President and CEO of Ancestry. With over 19 years in the tech industry, she has been named one of Business Insider's most powerful female engineers and one of Payment Source's most influential women in payments. She was previously a senior executive at Facebook. Deb's book, Take Back Your Power: 10 New Rules for Women at Work, shares data and personal experiences to help empower women in the workplace.
Throughout the years, members of the AAPI community have made an influential mark on business, technological, and social developments. Although a high percentage of the Fortune 500 professional workforce is AAPI, very few make their way to the C-suite. Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders remain among the least represented racial groups at the executive level.
Join Asia Society Northern California this AAPI Heritage month on May 23 from 5:00PM to hear from Deb Liu, President and CEO of Ancestry.com and trailblazing leader in the community. From fostering mentorship to self-advocation, Deb Liu will give insight into what her career journey has looked like, and the advice she has for advancing diversity and inclusion at an executive level.
This program will be moderated by Buck Gee, Regional Chair and Board Member of Committee of 100, co-founder of the Asian American Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and co-chair of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation Donor Advisory Board.
Deb Liu will also speak about her book Take Back Your Power: 10 New Rules for Women at Work - attend to get your book signed!
