Video: Artist Lee Ufan on Rethinking and Exploring Modern Art
Last night, internationally recognized minimalist artist Lee Ufan joined Michelle Yun, Asia Society Museum Senior Curator of Modern and Contemporary Arts, for a conversation about Lee's newest sculptures, created during a residency at the esteemed porcelain company Manufacture de Sèvres. Lee is often associated with his oil and canvas paintings and iconic minimalist sculptures which often used industrial materials like steel or stone. His new project uses the clay medium, which he says allows for explorations of space, time, and materiality.
