Yesterday, Asia Society Museum held a special members-only tour and conversation to celebrate the opening week of its new exhibition After Darkness: Southeast Asian Art in the Wake of History. Exhibition co-curator and Asia Society Museum Director Boon Hui Tan welcomed three artists featured in the exhibition — FX Harsono, Nge Lay, and Tuan Andrew Nguyen — for a thought-provoking discussion about their personal experiences living through dangerous socio-political situations and its impact on their art.
