Last weekend, families celebrated Diwali, the Hindu and New Year and festival of lights, by joining Asia Society's annual Diwali Family Day festivities.

Both children and adults enjoyed interactive performances by Bollywood dance studio Axion, traditional Indian folk music by Raga Kids, and Indian folk dancing from the Srijan Dance Center. In addition to the performances, children got creative, trying their hand at traditional Diwali crafts like clay diya lamps, patterned rangoli floor decorations, and beaded jewelry.
