Last week, Asia Society hosted health and lifestyle entrepreneur Danielle Chang, market director Sophia Tsao, and modern herbalist Stanley George for a free-wheeling and informative discussion on the ways that traditional Asian ingredients and practices have influenced Western health, beauty, and wellness industries.
The event kicked off with the premiere of "Food as Wellness," an episode from Chang's critically acclaimed PBS docuseries Lucky Chow. Following the discussion and questions from the audience, guests enjoyed a sumptuous reception catered by Kimbap Lab, sipped on custom wellness cocktails designed by George (with a spiked option courtesy of sponsor Remy XO), and left with goody bags filled with treats from popcorn purveyors Pop Pop Shoppe and beauty products by Po Wing.
Here are some of our favorite shots from the night! Scroll to the end to see the full video of the discussion from Chang, George, and Tsao.
