Photo Gallery: Asia Society at the 2016 Museum Mile Festival
Last week, Asia Society joined several of New York's famed institutions for Museum Mile Festival 2016. In celebration, Asia Society took over a corner of Manhattan's Fifth Avenue, offering up refreshments, candy, raffle prizes, and actitivies for passersby.
A special live demonstration by Himapan USA, a New York-based studio that uses Thai lotus leafs to create unique and colorful works of art, impressed both children and adults.
The booth drew hundreds of pedestrians also looking to learn more about the institution's current exhibitions, including In & Out of Context: Asia Society Celebrates the Collections at 60 and Rewind: Selections from the Hal and Ruth Newman New Media Collection, in addition to other programs coming up this summer.
