Ardeshir Mohasses: Art and Satire in Iran

23 May 2008 - 03 August 2008
  • Artwork (1)

Curated by artists Shirin Neshat and Nicky Nodjoumi, Ardeshir Mohassess: Art and Satire in Iran presented more than 70 rarely seen ink drawings by Ardeshir Mohassess (born 1938, Iran).

The works, completed between 1976 and 2000, provide unique insight into modern Iranian history. Throughout his career, Mohassess has remained a resolute social critic, focusing on the cruelty, humor, and vulnerability of human nature.
