As the CEO of, Tony Hsieh has achieved phenomenal company growth through revolutionary approaches to marketing, human resources, and customer service. Under his leadership, in 2009, Amazon acquired Zappos with shares valued at $1.2 billion.

Hsieh believes in the science of happiness as a way to run a business. With the right vision and core values he learned from his personal and business experiences, he shares insights to move away from conventional wisdom and encourages entrepreneurs to create their own paths to passion and profits in business and in life. ??

In 1999, at the age of 24, Tony Hsieh (pronounced "Shay") sold LinkExchange, the company he co-founded, to Microsoft for $265 million. He then joined Zappos as an adviser and investor, and eventually became CEO, where he helped Zappos grow from almost no sales to over $1 billion in gross merchandise sales annually. For two years in a row, Zappos has also simultaneously made Fortune magazine's annual "Best Companies to Work For" list. He currently lives in Las Vegas.
