Spring into Norouz! Celebrate the Persian New Year Family Day

Schedule of activities:
1-2:00: Persian Drumming with Amir Vahab
Master drummer Amir Vahab will perform a concert of Festive Persian Songs including one specially made for Nowruz, and will teach songs and hand drumming to the audience.
2:30-3:00: J-Hoon Music Ensemble
The members of J-Hoon Musical Ensemble will celebrate the arrival of Spring and the festival of Norouz by performing classical Kurdish songs and dance representing the vibrant and joyous culture of the Kurds of Western Iran.
3:15- 3:45: A First Norooz
A classic Norooz movie for the whole family. Little Babak feels caught between cultures. With the help of Amoo Norooz, he learns about the Persian New Year through a magical trip to Persepolis. With the talented voices of Oscar-nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, Ali Pourtash, Catherine Bell and the legendary Parviz Sayyad as Amoo Norooz. Music by Andy.
