Program rescheduled to November 5th, originally October 28

This program has been rescheduled for November 5 from the original October 28 date, which was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

Dancers, musicians and comedians offer a fresh take on  “debates” as we head into the final days of the Presidential  election.  How do creative artists interpret the idea of debate? Is it form, is it issues? Can we find a new way to look at The Great Debates? Cabaret-style performances by comedians Hari Kondabolu, Saad Haroon, Phil Nee, Negin Farsad and SLANT Performance Group; musicians Kiran Ahluwalia, Rez Abbasi, Nitin Mitta and Bora Yoon; dancers Maura Donohue, Yin Mei and Parul Shah, among others. Reception and DJ Rekha dance party to follow at 8:45.

This program is part of Asia Society’s The Great Debates: Traditions and Forms series, which explores systems of debates and discourse across cultures and religions. The Great Debates: Traditions and Forms series is made possible by a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation NYC Cultural Innovation Fund.
