Join us for a perfect evening of wine tasting and delicious discussion with writer and journalist Carlo Pizzati, the author of the memoir Mappillai: an Italian son-in-law in India. Mappillai, which translates into "son-in-law" in Tamil, tells the story of an Italian who married into the "marvelous human experiment called India." Pizzati appears in conversation with author and professor of creative writing Eli Gottlieb, and the evening features opening remarks by Consul General of Italy in New York Francesco Genuardi.

The talk will be preceded by a reception featuring Tormaresca wine from Apulia, Italy sponsored by Marchesi Antinori.
