Closing the Skills Gap Through Global Education

NEW YORK, September 22, 2016 — A range of speakers, including Asia Society Policy Institute President Kevin Rudd, discuss how today's students can learn the skills necessary to compete in the 21st century. This program is presented by the Center for Global Education (CGE) at Asia Society, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings, and The New York Academy of Sciences' Global STEM Alliance. This event will be co-hosted by the Center for Global Education (CGE) at Asia Society, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings and The New York Academy of Sciences' Global STEM Alliance, and focus on the importance of quality learning and the development of skills for the 21st century. A range speakers, including the Honorable Kevin Rudd, Director of the Asia Society Policy Institute and former Prime Minister of Australia, and stakeholders from various disciplines and diverse perspectives will discuss the changing global landscape and the skills needed to prepare young people for the future of learning, work, and life.
