VIEW EVENT DETAILSMeet the Author
Award-winning journalist and art critic Barbara Pollack presents Brand New Art from China: A Generation on the Rise, the first book on the millennials of the Chinese art world. As China claims its place as the second largest art market in the world, a younger generation of Chinese artists, riding on the success of their predecessors of the late 1980s and 1990s, have emerged on the international art scene as more provocative, more savvy, and more global. Brand New Art from China examines how the new generation of Chinese artists navigate their paths to become international art stars and negotiate their heritage, and how China impacts the future of world culture. Followed by a book sale and signing.
