Speakers
Alice Zhang is Co-Founder & CEO of Anise Health. Alice is a first-generation Chinese-Canadian. Motivated by personal experience, she is passionate about addressing the inequality and lack of cultural relevance in mental health interventions. Before founding Anise, Alice worked across various roles in healthcare including product development at Galileo, a digital primary care startup, investing at Unison Capital, a Japan-focused private equity fund, and management consulting at L.E.K. Consulting. Alice holds a B.S. in neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and MBA from Harvard Business School. She is also a certified health and wellness coach.
Israa Nasir is a psychotherapist, clinical director at Anise Health, speaker, and founder of the digital mental health brand WellGuide on Instagram. Israa also recently released her new book, Toxic Productivity: Reclaim Your Time and Emotional Energy in a World That Always Demands More. She creates impactful experiences focused on emotional well-being through therapy, workshops, creative content, and public speaking. Featured as a mental health expert on Business Insider, NBC News, and TeenVogue, she has also been a guest on podcasts like Axios, The Modern Millennial, and Immigrantly. With 10 years of experience as a licensed therapist in both Ontario, Canada, and New York State, she holds a Master’s in Counseling from Adelphi University and specialized certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. She also serves on the PS Wellness Council at Vox Media.
