Chinese Environmental Protection Departments should:
- Coordinate and assess the disclosure of their environmental information.
Developers and Contractors should:
- Voluntarily disclose the following information:
- Their environmental principles, targets, and results.
- Annual natural resource consumption; investment in environmental protection.
- The type, amount, toxicity, and destination of discharged pollutants.
- Environmental protection facilities for construction and operation.
- Management of waste material.
- Any agreement with an environmental protection department to improve environmental conduct.
Chinese Environmental Protection Departments should:
- Proactively disclose the following information:
- Environmental protection laws, regulations, rules, standards, and other regulatory documents.
- Environmental protection plans.
- Environmental quality conditions.
- Environmental statistics and environmental investigation information.
- Emergency response plans and forecasts.
- Pollution targets and assessments.
- The reviewed environmental impact assessment (EIA) documentation.
- Fees levied on the discharge of pollutants.
- A list of companies that have discharged pollutants exceeding environmental standards or have been responsible for major, large-scale environmental pollution accidents.
- Inspection and approval results of environmental protection projects.
