Emerging Female Trade Leaders
The Emerging Female Leaders (EFL) program provides an opportunity for up-and-coming young women in Asia with interest and/or experience in international trade to participate in an intensive professional development program. In 2019, this initiative started with the first cohort of women from South Korea. Since the inaugural program, ASPI has expanded this initiative to include South Korean, Japanese, and ASEAN women. The aim of this program is to develop the next generation of Asia’s female trade leaders by offering opportunities for developing skills and competencies for trade negotiations and trade policy development. This is achieved through workshops, briefings, and networking/mentorship opportunities with trade experts, current and former government officials, and female leaders in the private sector.
