Darwin combines two decades of progressive experience in technology and entrepreneurship, public policy, government affairs, and corporate communications in the Asia-Pacific region with an in-depth understanding of law and diplomacy. He specializes in public affairs, market access, policy advocacy and analysis, crisis management and communications, as well as strategic stakeholder relations. He has degrees in Psychology and Law from the University of the Philippines and a master’s degree in Science Communication and Public Engagement from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. In 2009, he was chosen by the Asia Society as one of ten fellows from the Philippines for his outstanding work initiatives that support good governance, environmental protection, education and health in the country. He has written books on anti-corruption and public relations, and produced plays, musicals and television shows. He is the founder of Ticket2Me, the Philippines’ fastest growing, independent event ticketing and experience technology platform. He is also the Vice President for External Affairs for East Asia and the Pacific of UnitedHealth Group, an American health care an American health care company with team members in two distinct and complementary businesses — Optum and UnitedHealthcare — working to help build a modern, high-performing health system.
