H.E. Asal Al Tal, Jordan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea

H.E. Asal Al Tal

H.E Asal Al Tal first arrived in Korea in September 2020 and has been Jordan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea since April 2022. Before taking up her role as ambassador, H.E Al Tal was Deputy Chief of Mission from September 2020 to July 2021 and Chargé d'Affaires from August 2021 to December 2021. 

Prior to arriving in Korea, H.E Al Tal enjoyed over 20 years in the foreign service, having first joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in March 1999. During this time, her roles have included Director at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from September 2013 to August 2014, Deputy Chief of Missions in Bern (September 2004 – August 2006) and Washington (September 2014 – July 2018), and Member of the National Policy Council's Working Group at the Royal Hashemite Court from November 2018 to September 2020.

H.E Al Tal earned her bachelor's degree in Law from The University of Jordan in 1998 before completing her master's degree in International law with International Relations from the University of Kent, Belgium, in 2012.
