Offers basic principles to foster openness and inclusivity in CDB operations and support economic and social development.
CDB should:
- Provide active support for companies operating overseas.
- Join the “United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)” and the "United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI)."
- Guide companies toward developing and managing construction projects in accordance with international ecological protection principles and regulations.
CDB Staff should:
- Adhere to Chinese laws.
CDB should:
- Commit to sustainable economic and social development, particularly in areas such as shantytown transformation, poverty relief, rural and agricultural development, and education.
- Promote social equity and justice, and improve people’s well-being.
- Consider public opinion.
- Utilize social mechanisms benefiting, involving, and supervised by the general public (the government, markets, communities, and other companies) to support development and risk prevention.
- Engage in grassroots-based recruitment and employment.
- Participate in and supervise management staff selection, appointments, and appraisals.
- Safeguard workers’ right to know.
- Actively promote cultural exchanges.

- Adhere to responsibilities and commitments to China, the community, customers, and the CDB.
CDB should:
- Actively develop green credit for energy conservation, environmental protection, and ecological preservation.
