In Asia Society Texas' 13th year of Culture Camps, students embark on hands-on programs delving into Asian traditions, arts, and culture.
Lights, Camera, Asia! Young Journalists Camp
Monday, June 9 – Friday, June 13, 2025・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Become journalists, producers, and video editors! Learn how to research, write, and film your very own news or travel show about amazing countries and cultures across Asia. Team up with fellow campers to create cool video packages and discover how to craft stories that inspire and inform.
Recommended for students ages 9–12.
Legends and Lore: A Puppetry Mini Camp
Monday, June 30 – Wednesday, July 2, 2025・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Discover the magic of theater in this puppetry camp! Explore puppetry traditions from Indonesia, Taiwan, and Japan, then design and build your own puppets to use them to tell a story for an exciting performance.
Recommended for students ages 6–10.
Manga POP!
Monday, July 7 – Friday, July 11, 2025・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Artists and manga fanatics, unite! Create your own comics inspired by the Japanese manga style in this camp for students of all skill levels. Learn how comics are made and show off your work at Camp Comic-Con!
Recommended for students ages 9–14.
Tech and Tales: Stop-Motion and STEM
Monday, July 21 – Friday, July 25, 2025・9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Daily
Ignite your creativity to explore and innovate at this STEM and stop-motion animation camp! Design and animate stories inspired by Asian arts and cultures and using STEM concepts, with a showcase celebrating your stop-motion creations.
Recommended for students ages 9–12.

Student Tours and Field Trips
Guided tours by Asia Society Texas docents lead students and educators through visual art and interactive exhibitions on view, offering unique perspectives into the traditions and cultures of Asians and Asian Americans around the world.
We invite educators to book a field trip to participate in the following experiences:

Education and Outreach programs at Asia Society Texas are presented by AARP. Major support comes from Nancy C.
