Education
As a cultural and educational institution, Asia Society Texas is passionate about advancing cross-cultural understanding for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
A survey by the National Commission on Asia in schools showed a broad gap in educational resources about Asia and Asian American perspectives. We aim to fill the gap through onsite tours and field trips of our permanent Explore Asia exhibition, lesson guides and resources in our new Asia in the Classroom initiative, summer camps, and more.
Explore Asia Exhibition
Travel across Asia without leaving Houston through Asia Society Texas' permanent Explore Asia exhibition, highlighting five Asian countries (China, India, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam) across six unique experiences
Student Tours and Field Trips
Guided learning experiences at Asia Society Texas include an adventure through our permanent Explore Asia exhibition, guided tours of our visual art gallery, and options for add-on programs and workshops.
For Educators
Educators and students are our priority. Our new online learning platform Asia in the Classroom was created to support educators by providing accessible classroom resources for teaching about Asia and Asian American experiences. Envisioned by leaders from various sectors; guided by educators, a Scholar Circle, students, and community partners; and built by award-winning design firms, Asia in the Classroom comprises two main components: online graphic novels to engage students with compelling TEKS-aligned narratives and an educator portal with lesson guides designed for K–16 classrooms.
