Arts Committee Breakfast Meeting #5 Mai Miyake, Artist

The Arts Committee is delighted to invite Ms. Mai Miyake, Artist to our breakfast round table. This is another first to invite an established artist to the round table. She will talk about her works and what she sees in today’s art world, titled, "Whereabouts of Art".
Ms. Miyake is a multi-talented artist, writer and teacher who studied at Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She has exhibited at Hermes or see her works passing through GInza in the windows of Shiseido The Store as well as at museums as Pola Museum of Art in Hakone or at collector’s homes. She is a professor at Kyoto University of Art & Design teaching young minds and working with artisans who have perfected their crafts for generations.
From the end of this month to September, she will be a part of a group exhibition curated by Fumio Nanjo at Kyoto’s Nij-jo Castle along side Kohei Nara, teamLab and others from Aug 31-Sept 3. On Sept 16, Ms. Miyake will be a fellow panelist with Taihei Shii our favorite blockchain specialist at the GI Conference. She will be talking about, “Sustainable Innovation in Times of Disruption”
