Zubaida Bai (Class of 2015)
Zubaida Bai founded Ayzh in 2010, a social enterprise that designs vital healthcare products to improve the health and happiness of women and girls across their reproductive lives. Through Ayzh, Zubaida launched JANMA, a low-cost Clean Birth Kit selling over 400,000+ units to date. She has also developed the shishu-Essential Newborn Care Kit, the kanya-Menstrual Hygiene, and the janani-Postpartum Kit.
Zubaida has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Maternal Health Champion by Ashoka India, a TED Speaker (Fellow and a Resident), and the Inited Nations SDG Pioneer by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
She holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalarna University College, and an MBA in Social and Sustainable Enterprises from Colorado State University
