Opening Night Celebration Dinner
MUMBAI, December 7, 2013 - Asia Society India Centre's very special Opening Night Celebration Dinner for the Times of India Literary Carnival hosted at the Taj Lands End hotel, Mumbai is like the festival, in its third year, and serves as a fundraiser for the India Centre as well as a unique way to partner with the Times of India Literary Carnival - Mumbai’s premier literature festival which presents leading authors and speakers from around the world in panels, discussions, book readings, screenings and premieres.
This year's “Asian Street” themed evening featured street-side caricature portraits made by students from the JJ School of Art, Asian street food stalls with Thai, Chinese and Indian cuisine, the lively tunes of DJ Jay Weather and of course, drinks, discussions and exchanges with the prominent speakers of the Carnival from across the world. Our guest list included Asia Society members and supporters as well as a select list of Mumbai’s finest personalities across business, arts, government and culture - many of who marked the dinner date on their calendars for next year!
