Gen A Leadership Network

Connect, Collaborate, Create: The Next Generation of Leaders

Gen A

WHAT IS THE GEN A PROGRAMME?

Gen A is a programme designed for rising executives and leaders who wish to increase their Asia Competence and join an active community of like-minded professionals who have a keen interest in the Asia-Pacific. The programme has been successfully implemented by Asia Society Switzerland and Asia Society Australia. It is a learning, networking and leadership development platform, and an excellent opportunity for Corporate Members of Asia Society India Centre to develop high potential young leaders.

WHY THE GEN A PROGRAMME?

Asia’s influence on the world is growing – across the spheres of business, policy, technology, society, and culture. To be successful in an international environment, it is crucial to develop a deeper and more holistic understanding of Asia and Asian issues and its impact on the rest of the world: We refer to this as Asian Competence.

OBJECTIVES

To create and grow a network of well-informed Asian young leaders who are from Asia Society India’s corporate membership network and beyond.

To make Asia Society accessible to a wider and dynamic group of young leaders.

To enable corporate members and partners of Asia Society India Centre to identify and support the next generation of Asian leaders and ambassadors.

WHO ARE THE GEN A LEADERS?

Access to the Gen A programme is reserved exclusively for employees of corporate members of Asia Society India Centre. Based on membership tier, each corporate member can nominate a select number of participants every year. The programme is aimed at rising executives interested in enhancing their understanding of important geopolitical trends and issues and how they are impacting India and the world. These professionals should also have a keen interest in building professional and personal networks. Gen A leaders are mid-level corporate executives who will be nominated into the programme annually by their respective companies. Previous study and professional experience in Asia or currently working on Asia-focused/based projects or with Asian clients is helpful but not mandatory.

Recommended Age: 30 to 40 years

FORMAT AND PROGRAMME CONTENT

All participants will get access to four exclusive roundtable conversations with experts across the fields of international policy, economics, and technology. In addition to these, we will host two informal events for the launch and culmination of the programme respectively. Participants also get full member-level access to Asia Society India Centre's calendar of public events for the duration of the programme. After completing the programme, you will join the Gen A Alumni community and receive regular invitations to exclusive events and conversations.

DETAILS OF NOMINATION

For our Corporate Members, the details of nominations are as follows.

1. Corporate Partners- 3 Nominations annually

2. Corporate Contributors- 2 Nominations annually

3. Corporate Donors- One Nomination annually
