Drawing on her accomplished career working in the government and development spheres of Hong Kong, she will share her impressions on the opportunities and challenges for women in leadership positions in an intimate and interactive setting.
This is a private event, co-hosted with Minal Bajaj, Honorary Director of the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation.
Carrie Lam is a civil servant-turned politician. She joined the Administrative Service in August 1980, and rose to the rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A1 in September 2006. Prior to her position as Secretary for Development, she has been Director of Social Welfare, Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands, Director-General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London, and Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs.
