The Climb to the Top: Mount Everest
VIEW EVENT DETAILSIn 2009 a regular boy decided to climb Mt. Everest. What ensued was a roller coaster ride filled with crazy summits, disheartening failures, a couple of near death experiences, and finally 20 minutes on the very top of this world! Mountaineer Kuntal Joisher will describe the devastating natural disasters and tragedies that struck his expedition in 2014 and 2015, how he was able to stay focused and return in 2016 to make it to the top. He will share his innermost fears and how he overcame them to achieve his dream. He will explain the reality behind big mountain climbing, and how it contrasts with the glossy and glamorized images often portrayed in the media and in popular culture. Join us as Joisher takes us on a visual journey to the very top of the world.
